Nothing beats finding a passionate Halloween house decorator, and Nick DiPierro certainly takes that passion to a whole new level!

Nick has transformed his front yard into an incredible Pirates of the Caribbean adventure, complete with a pirate ship, treasure chests and amazingly detailed handmade characters.

But what makes this display even more impressive? His creativity and use of recycled materials! From discarded wood and old swing sets to pool noodles, foam and even Cheerios (yes, Cheerios!), Nick proves that one person's trash really can become a pirate's treasure!

Nick started working on this year's creation last November, spending countless hours building characters and bringing his vision to life. His wife might tell you Halloween has become a year-round obsession, but Nick insists it's all about the kids and the excitement they get from visiting.

We had so much fun interviewing Nick, discovering his creative tricks and hearing how his neighbors have even joined in by donating materials.

Our Hyper Local Halloween House Hunters Trail is all about discovering the people who make our communities special. And Nick is certainly one of them!
